It is in black color, i was thinking to get a milk white one, but black works for me too. Anyway, i feel lucky to own my first car, moreover, it's a brand new one.
well, my parents gave the down payment. Obviously, the money i got in my account is not gonna help a shit. But i have already known that I will pay back them the down payment they gave today. Dont worry, ill get them to take the money.
yeah, new car, but keep in mind that im not buying this car for going parties, driving around. I am buying for my job, my new job. it is an investment, i have invested over 18,000 even before i make any pennies so far. Well, actually, i have made $12 with it by delivering a chinese order. Sweet! But still, i wanna remind myself again, I got a job, a car is a start of it, from the very first second i started it, i have to keep working on it, till the end, at least till the day i pay off the loan i got for the car. Well, i dnt wanna be a damn loser, who wants to be loser anyway, I have said so many times that i will try my best, but i just wanna say it one more time, I will try my best to do a good job, for the sake of my car this time. I am not giving myself hard time by getting a new car, but this is the way it is. I mean i actually like this way, this is what i ask for, a own car, a own job, oh, and the college. I wanna be a business woman, and i believe this is just a start. I know i wanna do this. Tell u a little secret, my parents actually found a guy for me a while ago, to be honest with you, this guy was not bad at all, he is not so bad looking, a nice and kind young guy. most of all, he runs his own construction team,(not sure if it is right expression) other words, he makes pretty much money, at least more than the money my parents make. But the only problem is, there is just no electricity running on between us. He is only high school graduated, no offense, but it somehow affects, he joins the real society pretty early, that may be the reason he looks a little older than his real age. oh, he is only a year older than me. Anyway, my parents just highly expect him to be my bf and later on husband. I know they are right on some points, but i just cant imagine myself kissing him, or anything a couple supposed to do. The feeling when i with him is just not right, u know. Maybe i will have a happy marriage with him later on, but this is just not the thing i am looking for now. Sorry, mom, i just cant take it now. I believe you already knew that i told him what i really thought the other day. hehe,,we will all get over it.
back to my job, i like my job, i know it's still too early to say so, ill will try, at least give a try, a hard try...

I love this Reading Class!

After days of research and put materials together, I finally got my final project done just minutes ago. hoooh,,,, (sigh of relief)
I know what i want to do in my later on life, but this project just gave a great chance to organize what had been floating in my mind. I have a much clearer mind now. I am more aware of what is in front of me. I have a better idea on what and how I need to do to get my BAIB (Business Administration-International Business) degree in four years properly. I know what career area I am getting into after four years college.
Posting blog is always the best part of this class. I am that kind of person who feels more comfortable to post my thought on blogs rather than expressing my opinions in class publicly. I 100 percent support keep using "blog post" as a tool for the students to participate in class and for the teacher to communicate with students. It is the best idea I have ever seen! I will definitely keep using this blogger to share my own thoughts with the public. It is like i just suck in a gray dirty smoke, which stays inside my chest and drives me hard to breathe in and out. I am trying to scream out....
It seems like everyone lives in Bronx neighbordhood has a miserable life, women sleep with different guys and have a bounch of children; guys jump in and out of drugs and some illegle isuues, which eventually bring them into jail; kids grow up with poverty, drug, complicated family background, est. Everyone suffers, sights, pains.
They need a way out, but Where? Education is seen as a way out of the ghetto. To try to improve the chances for her children, Coco follows the well-worn trail of many welfare recipients to the dying upstate industrial city of Troy, where there is more public housing and a somewhat safer street life. Despite her courage to disengage from her Bronx world and pursue her GED, Coco is ill-equipped to handle the challenge. In this case, education could hardly help out those adults, what about their kids? These kids are just so influenced by their family, the community they live in. If we want them to be completely rinsed by education, which is seen a way to take them out of the dropping world, we have to isolate them all from their family and the community they live in. But this is impossible as ask all guys go have a job in Bronx.
Abviously, education is not the one can solve all the problems they meet in Bronx.
They all a need a way out, but how? We are all thinking about it...

Anna Nicole

Never really heard about her before she died. (Shrug)
part of the reason for me to pay attention on her exploded news is to catch up with others. Sounds like I would be considered as a donkey if i reacted like I never knew "Anna Nicole" has just died at age 39. Ah,, I may be a little exaggerated, but it is ture, at least from what i had experienced.
back to the topic, why would people be interested in pop stars private lives? enn,,,, I think that part of because we are jealous,, we are jealous about what kind of fancy lives they have, looking back to our lives,, ewwww,,, so when there is a scandal or anything bad happened to those fancy stars, we would be like, "hmm,, those stars are no better than someone live in our block". This somehow releases the unbalance jealousy inside our bodies. Believe or not, bad news from those pop stars always spread times faster than good news.
you may not agree, but think about it in another way. Look at those people who never talk about or care about the pop stars, they dont care because they spend more time on some other stuff which they think have something more important to do with their lives. They know what they really need to focus on to make their own lives better. This is what we call "mind your own business."
"yeah, Nicole died, so?"
"So her daughter becomes a orphan.
" So? you are not gonna adopt her, are you? nd you are not gonna inherite Nicole's millions of dollars, are you? then what the earth her death has anything to do with you?"

ah-ha,, no offense by any meaning, im just being a little freak.

The president of US

A president of US should be wise, honest, responsible, thoughtful, experienced, knows what is really good for US people, and the people in other countries. Take Mrs. Cliton and Mr. Obama as examples, they seem like both have got all the quantities I am looking for in a president, at least by the lectures they gave. People don't just pick up a random person from their neighbordhood as the next President of the United States. Hundred millions of people live in US, only a couple of us stand up as the candidates of next presidents, those couple of us gotta be outstanding enough for the rest of us recgonize them within such a big country. So I am concluding these two candidates are both qualified for the next President of America. But if i have to pick one of them as president for the next term. I will choose Mr. Obama. (I have changed mind from yesterday, thanks god, the election was not on yesterday) Not because he is any better than Mrs. Cliton in any qualities as a president, it is his African-American born.
It is true that there is only one president up there leading America, Mr. Obama may not be as experienced as Mrs. Cliton, whose husband was the ex-president of the United States, but the president gets his whole administration behind him, who knows there is no somebody else steps in the running of presidency, the president of America is not running our country alone. In this case, the tiny difference between the capability of these two candidates does not affect my decition much. I am choosing Mr. Obama, because he is a African-American. I know the United States is not ready for an African-American president, mainly due to the racism widely exists in this society, even though a lot of people claim they are not racists. Being one of the minor race group in America, I really dont think it is fair to reject a talented person as the president of the United States only because his African-American born. I will vote for Mr. Obama for the sake of his excellent leadership and minor-race born.

Little Red Cap!

Do not talk to strangers! This is what I got from both the old Grimm version and the new Carter version of "Little Red Cap". In spite of different writing styles, different story plots, different endings, the old and new versions of "Little Red Cap" teach us the same lesson--be careful of wolves! Obviously, wolves here represent those unkind people who are harmful for us. I think the reason for both versions are widely accepted by us is because each of the version has its certain amount of readers. The old Grimm is more suitable for kids. It is more acceptable to teach kids a lesson with a positive happy ending. The Carter version is more realistic for those adults or more grown-up people. Moreover, the change of time is also a main reason for why Carter version is more reasonable and more real for us. However, these two versions differ from each other in scenes and ending, the aim of the writers are the same.

"American Idol"
Honestly, I have not watched "American Idol" show on TV before, not even once. I knew it, because the commercial explode out on TV, through radio, always the hottest issue during my friends' conversation, there is no way to ignore its exsitence afterall. I am not a big fan of "American Idol", but I do know how this show goes, since I have watched some similar shows. I concluded two reasons for no need to change from "vote for the best" to "vote for the worst".
First of all, not many people will feel like spending time and money to vote for the one they dont like, at least I won't text time after time to vote for the losers, the only posibility is someone really gets on my nerve, his /her appearance really threats my daily life, I would destroy my cell phone only for letting him/her out of the show. Fortunately, this kind ofsituation does not happen oftenly, plus i might just choose not to continue watching the show, which seems like the best way to save from this unnecessary cost.
The second reason sort of relies on the first one, if we all significantly reduce texting times, or less and less people watch the show, the holder of this show will not be happy, their benefit would relatively decrease, which is against what their purpose of holding this show. Thus, they will try every effort to make the audience spend money on those fancy performers as much as they can, rather than let audiences vote for either losers or winners freely.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

Just by seeing the name of this book, I surpposed it would be a "detective book".
There was one question kept coming up to me, "Is this novel really written by a mental-ill teenage?" If it is not, the author must be a genious.
I had never read any novel or fiction written in this way. It is narritive, which is common; it uses many pictures, numbers, graphs, which are not common; it tells so many things, most of which seem have nothing to do with the "death of the dog", which is really uncommon; the extreme characterist of "Christopher" indeed challenge my ajudgment, "he is either Einstein kind of genious or a high-mental-ill kid.All of these elements provoke my curiosty, attract me keep reading it till figuring out what the earth in Christopher's mind.
The reason I reject this book is not written by a real mental-ill person is I don't think any publisher will risk to publish a book written by a mental-ill child as Chrisopher. If it really was, the teacher would not recommand it as a school text book. Then whoever wrote this book must be a genious. Only a genious can make the readers forget everything around when they are reading his book.

It's a snowing day!

Snow has covered the earth in white, the sunshine lies on the snow, the brightness causes me dizzy when I am trying to stare at the beautiful snow. I pick up some snow, deliver it to my mouth, hmmm, no taste, unlike "cotton candy". I laughed out! I love snowing days!

I got the job! I will be starting working from this June, 3 months on summer, and then keep working there as I go to school at the same time. They need me to work there fulltime, 40 hours a week, otherwise, they only offered $12 per hour without any insurance if i can make fully 40 hours a week. There is no reason not to spend couple more hours to get the full paid and all teh benefit. Moreover, because of the financial aid I applied, I have to take at least 12 credits to be a fulltime student. In this case, next semester, I will be working from 8:30 am -5pm, then go back to school take the 6:00-8:30 pm late classes, Monday through Thursday, four classes a week. Ah,, itll be a busy semester! It is Monday today, after going through 3 not remarkable days, I feel like I should start doing something significant or at least something valuable. hehe,,,
I have been switching from sick to fine back and forth for last couple of days, not only that, many other things went wrong: broke up with a friend; house remodeling drove everything unavailable; spring break plans had been canceled one by one; never got the book (Random Family) bought on line which was supposed to get here last couple of days; school works submerged me as waves. Jesus Christ! So many things came up together, drove my weak and sick body shivering, led my brain out of functioning. I tried to calm myself by reading a book, reading could always bring me to another world, a world i don't belong. Unfortuantely, reading did not work out well this time. My eyes were staring at the page, none of the words went into my mind, instead, my mind was being dominated by all of those unsolved problems.
Headache!
After ton of pills and water, I woke up without any dizzy this morning, 10:30. Feel much better today. Great weather out today! It is supposed to be a "out-going day in New York" today. Anyway, I felt like having a walk to start my day, and i did.
Ah, I was back to myself again, as if the fresh air had just cleaned out all the gray blurry cloud, which had been floating for days in my mind.
Let's start to work!! May not solve all the problems, but at least I ACT! Yeahhh!!!

plans for final project

Since it is a open format for our final project, I am thinking to have all different formats for each section. For the fisr section: personal profile, I am thinking to have a written paper, sort of autobiography for it. It will briefly tell my background, my prsent life, and my plans for future.
For the second section: career profile and ideas , I may do a powpoint for it. I will go to my counselor and ask for one of those "international business major" required classes, it lists all the classes i have to take to finish my bachelor degree. Also, i will interview a friend of mine in MSU. She has almost the situation as I do, and she is majoring in International Business too. For the salary portion, I have couple of websites, which offered by my counselor, can search in. Then, i will analyze the data and materials i collect, and make nice powerpoint out of it.
For the last section: conclusion, im not sure what kind of format i will do for it yet. Is it really listed on the Islamic bible?
however, to help those women still throughout the world live in conditions of abject deprivation of, and attacks against, their fundamental human rights, first of all, we have to be aware about "where, when, who, why and how" those women suffer unequal treatments. Next step will be
to expose and denounce as human rights violations those practices and policies that silence and subordinate women. It won't go far if we work individually, we have to bond together as a group, getting more and more human right activists, and human right organizations, such as National Organization for Women, gaining more and more social power to go against those anti-women laws, to rescue those women.
here is a website for women from different countries or religions could look for help if they suffer from any unequal treatments from others or even governments.
http://www.law.emory.edu/IHR/wmnhr.html

Chinese New Year!

It is Chinese New Year Day today! The Year of Pig, golden Pig. I really expierenced a different new year, not just because I am in America now, also because of my sickness. I've been sick for 5 days, since the Valentine's Day. Ha, never expect a cold would ruin two important holidays.
Thanks God I got some of my voice back at New Year Eve, at least caught up the last glance of Year of 2006. However, being sick in Spring Festival is not fun at all, especially for someone like me. This is really a remarkable New Year, which I stayed mostly silently. Maybe it is another world, compareing with America. We are living in world with too much freedom, too many rights, too many high-techs, too much food, we are too sploided after all. We could never know how those people in Darfur suffer from poverty, hunger, death. I am not saying we should go ahead and experience what they are suffering now. Prisoners survived because of their sheer will to live, unwilling to be broken by the oppression of the Nazis. It is incomprehensible how life truly was for those in the camps, the day in, day out, monotony of horror that grew into weeks, months, and even years. The fact that there were survivors shows that there is something in us that cannot be taken away no matter what, and that is a true testament to the human spirit.
http://library.thinkquest.org/12663/summary/whatframe.html

Stop, genocide!

History repeats itself, genocide never stops going by the wheel of history. Genocide happens when a certain group of people are not educated enough to know that every one is equal in the world! There is no super species in the whole ecosystem, if there is, human is the one. I caught up the last ring. I did not recognize his voice till he repeated his name for the third time. I was never a loser in naming people I know on the phone. It was from Lin, who was my classmate 4 years ago, we only talked on line for couple of times after that. He told me he was in America now, a international student in ** College in New Jersey. It was his 3rd day here. Rather than excited, there was something more like worry and maze in the way he talked. He told me I was the only one he knew in America; there was not many people around there, since his school would not begin till 23rd,he had been waiting for his roommate; there was no fridge, TV, computer in his dorm. The first 2 lonely and boring days really made him start regretting to come to America. I could tell the disappointment in his talking. A pause before he asked if I could go visit him. I was glad he had called me. As an immigrant myself, I fully understant how hard it is at the beginning, not even mention he was alone in America. I promised him I would drive to his college as soon as I looked up his college location on line.
We finally met yesterday, he was the same one as in my memory. It was a extremely cold day, but he did not wear much. (It was always warm in the city we used to live.) He told me he had worked for more than a year after he graduated for high school, then he realized there was nothing could bring him a promotion than a higher degree. Fortunately, he got accepted by the ** College, and got passed through the interview with the immigration department. He told he wanted to find a job, which could at least affords his basic spending. Since his social security card was still processing, there was not much he can do without it. Then we decided to get everything started after he got his SS nomber.
Wish him everything goes well!

such a world!

I have heard many stories about discriminating against certain groups in a certain society, but I was still shocked by those cruel treatments which the people suffered in the Concentration Camps. If the Germans had considered those arrested in any slightly human ways, they would not have thrown women, children, olders to the gas chambers, they would not have starved those youths to death, they would not have to hang the prisoners discretionally. Did they not see those prisoners were the same humen as they were, they all got human feelings, they even spoke the same language, the only difference was the prisoners did not dominated the weapons, and the Germans were in power. Being in power is definitely not a reason for killing millions of others. There must be a reason for this tragedy. But what was it? According to the history, there was no such a thing could give the Germans any excuse to kill all those innocent Jewish people and others. In this case, I would just take it as all the Germans involved in this genocide were all animal-minded, rather than common human-minded.

introduction of myself

hi, this is Inga Liu, I am a freshman now, majoring in International Business.
