Chinese New Year!

It is Chinese New Year Day today! The Year of Pig, golden Pig. I really expierenced a different new year, not just because I am in America now, also because of my sickness. I've been sick for 5 days, since the Valentine's Day. Ha, never expect a cold would ruin two important holidays.
Thanks God I got some of my voice back at New Year Eve, at least caught up the last glance of Year of 2006. However, being sick in Spring Festival is not fun at all, especially for someone like me. This is really a remarkable New Year, which I stayed mostly silently. Mom was right, the top purppose of wearing clothes is to keep warm. Why didn't I keep this in mind last Tuesday? Aww... if only I wore more clothes last Tuesday!

What a shock!

I would never believe GENOCIDE is still happening in our earth today if I have not read the articles given in our Reading Class. I was completely shocked when I read those numbers of death, wounded, raped and homeless. Those jsut like something happends in another world, a inexisted world. Maybe it is another world, compareing with America. We are living in world with too much freedom, too many rights, too many high-techs, too much food, we are too sploided after all. We could never know how those people in Darfur suffer from poverty, hunger, death. I am not saying we should go ahead and experience what they are suffering now. On the contrary, we should at least appreciate the luck we have got to be living US, and try to help those innocent people in Darfur, or any other country where genocides are still happening. Don't hesitate to login the website below if you are willing to help, even take a look at them.

A Testament!

Holocaust shows something amazing: the strength of the human spirit. Prisoners survived because of their sheer will to live, unwilling to be broken by the oppression of the Nazis. It is incomprehensible how life truly was for those in the camps, the day in, day out, monotony of horror that grew into weeks, months, and even years. The fact that there were survivors shows that there is something in us that cannot be taken away no matter what, and that is a true testament to the human spirit.
