I would never believe GENOCIDE is still happening in our earth today if I have not read the articles given in our Reading Class. I was completely shocked when I read those numbers of death, wounded, raped and homeless. Those jsut like something happends in another world, a inexisted world. Maybe it is another world, compareing with America. We are living in world with too much freedom, too many rights, too many high-techs, too much food, we are too sploided after all. We could never know how those people in Darfur suffer from poverty, hunger, death. I am not saying we should go ahead and experience what they are suffering now. On the contrary, we should at least appreciate the luck we have got to be living US, and try to help those innocent people in Darfur, or any other country where genocides are still happening. Thank you for posting the link, Inge. I don't know if I think we are too spoiled or free here in the U.S., but I definitely think we take many of the things we have for granted. And I still think we have a responsibility to help others as well.
